The Hometown Holiday Celebration has special events around Plymouth at different locations. The three-day festival includes a festival of trees, concerts, holiday cookie walk, singing, kids’ party, barbecue, and visits with Santa.
The Festival of Trees will be held December 6 and 7 at 10:30 am to 8:00 pm at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center. Trees will be decorated and participants get a chance to win a decorated Christmas tree for free.
The Windham Hill Winter Solstice performs on December 6 at 7:00 pm at the Silver Center for the Arts, serving up traditional and acoustic music on piano, guitar, cello, and fiddle.
On December 7, the Holiday Cookie Walk takes place at Plymouth Senior Center from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. There will be face painting, cookies, crafts, and raffles. Plymouth Elementary School will have a Holiday Kids Party and Gingerbread Competition from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. Participants must register with Parks and Recreation.
From 4:00 to 6:00 pm that day on The Commons, kids will decorate holiday cookies with elves. A free holiday singalong will be held from 4:30 to 5:00 pm. A holiday parade starts at 5:00 pm, Bonfire and Barbecue on Green Street begins 6:00 pm and visits with Santa at Plymouth Senior Regional Center are 6:00 pm. Local printers often design Promotional Products for special events like these.
On December 8, an ice-skating session with Santa takes place from 1:00 and 3:00 pm at the PSU Hanaway Ice Arena.
