Pease Public Library offers free fun in January

The Pease Public Library here in Plymouth will be hosting a trio of free activities in January 2024 to break up the post-holiday slump.

Print shops provide Brochures among other products for use by libraries.

On January 10, those who are into antiques can attend a talk by Antiques Roadshow Appraiser Ken Gloss. At 6 pm Gloss will discuss his favorite among the items he has seen on location for the show and the joys of antique hunting. He will also provide insight into what qualifies Books and manuscripts as being rare and the various factors that determine their value as well as sharing enthralling anecdotes. Following his presentation, he will answer questions and provide appraisals of items attendees have brought with them.

Something for gardening enthusiasts to look forward to is the Winter Seed Sowing Demonstration that will take place at 11 am on Saturday, January 13. The Pease Library is pleased to announce that they are recipient of a Moose Mountain Seed Savers new seed library. This is a chance to witness winter seed sowing techniques and interact with fellow gardeners.

Finally, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on January 29 the library will host a Mesh Canvas Embroidery workshop. Open to adults and high school students, the event provides instruction on how to do mesh canvas embroidery as well as the necessary supplies. Registration is required for this event and be accomplished by contacting the library.
