Joanne Landers has assumed the position of enrollment management and communications vice president (VP) at Plymouth State University (PSU).
Lander’s selection came after a committee made up of PSU faculty and staff conducted a nationwide search to fill the position. The new VP comes to Plymouth with 20 years of experience in enrollment and admissions under her belt.
As part of her job, Landers reports to Donald L. Birx, PSU president, helping him to create a vision for PSU’s future. Additionally, she leads the admissions and communications teams as well as assuming management of the goals, objectives and strategies of the university. A job change such as this is sure to result in a wealth of new Business Cards, to be distributed at any upcoming networking events the new VP will attend.
Landers comes to PSU from New Jersey’s Saint Elizabeth University where she spent three years as the enrollment management vice president. In her most recent position at Saint Elizabeth University, she oversaw all undergraduate admissions and financial aid. She co-chaired the retention and enrollment team and also developed and executed, along with the university’s communications and marketing director, digital and Print recruitment campaigns.
Landers obtained her doctoral degree in education from Capella University, with a specialization in higher education leadership. She holds a master’s from the University of Akron in higher education administration, and her Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Ohio.
