What's Happening in Plymouth, NH…

Hyde Hall, central to Plymouth State University’s school of business, is nearing the halfway point in its updates with some exciting and innovative changes in the works.

Opening almost a half century ago in 1976, Hyde Hall has had little in the way of updates over the years. The building was named for Harold E. Hyde the former Plymouth State President who led the institution from 1951, during its days as Plymouth Teachers College, until 1977. Hyde is credited with taking the floundering teaching school and transforming it into Plymouth State College by adding liberal arts and business schools.

Institutions of higher learning, such as universities, have frequent and varied uses for banner printing services.

Included in the work is an update of the buildings windows, and ventilation and climate control systems that for the most part is original to its 1976 opening. In addition to improving energy efficiency in the building, infrastructure and technology improvements and more efficient classroom structures that would allow for varying sizes of breakout conference rooms were part of the plans as well.

The 82,000-square-foot hall houses the University’s largest major, its award-winning School of Business, in which about one-third of PSU’s students are enrolled. The approximately 24-month renovation project for the four-story structure began in 2023 and is expected to be completed in fall 2025.
