Fundraising event celebrates prom

The 3rd annual Mom Prom is taking place in nearby Sanbornton next month. It is a fundraiser for the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

The event is not only for moms, but also for all women over the age of 21 – those who remember their proms and those who never got the chance to attend one. The evening will be filled with lots of fun activities.

There will be a dinner buffet, a DJ, and dancing. Guests can take part in the wine cork pull for the chance to win a bottle.

A highlight of the evening will be the Tacky Dress Contest, with the winner being named Mom Prom Queen. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best bridesmaid dresses, in the tackiest dress they can find, or in fancy dress.

Proceeds raised will help the Franklin Regional Hospital Auxiliary fund various programs such as Pioneer Emergency Response. The organization also helps to purchase hospital and medical training equipment.

No doubt women from all over, including those from Plymouth, will be interested in attending this fun charity event. To help spread the word, organizers may invest in poster and flyer printing.

The Mom Prom will be held at the Steele Hill Resort on April 7 from 5:30 to 11:30 pm. Tickets are $45 each or $400 for a table of 10. Call 603-934-2060 for more information.
