The 1st annual East Canterbury Maple Festival is taking place over two days next month. This event is part of the NH Maple Weekend festivities taking place all over the state.
The first event of the festival will be a pancake breakfast on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM featuring lots of maple syrup. A donation of $5 is recommended.
There are set to be talks by Mark Stevens about the Canterbury Shakers’ sugaring operations and the many products that can be made with sap from maple trees. There will be a North Family Farm demo of maple sugar making and a display of traditional and modern processes. Samples of sugar and syrup will be available, and the public can learn how to create a sweet treat of their own.
In keeping with NH Maple Weekend, there will also be activities and demonstrations at various farms, shops, and distilleries in the area.
This should be a fun event for families from the area, such as those from nearby Plymouth, to learn about this important New Hampshire product. To advertise, organizers may invest in flyer printing services.
