To promote their latest album, “Love & Hate in Desperate Places”, The Boxmasters will, along with Billy Bob Thornton, be touring the United States and Canada with a stop here in Plymouth.
This 17th release by J.D. Andrew and Bud Thornton will include their veteran road musicians Raymond Hardy and Kirk McKim and will contain two singles: the 2009 “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” and the recently written “Goodnight, Sleep Tight, I’m Gone”.

The Boxmasters formed in 2007 and have over the years recorded a diverse assortment of music reflecting their wide array of influences, particularly that of the 1960s rock and roll. Among their greatest influencers have been the Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, The Allman Brothers and Kris Kristofferson.
As a touring band, the group have developed a highly enthusiastic fanbase across this country as well as Canada and even Europe and the U.K. The Boxmasters have opened for the Steve Miller Band, ZZ Top, The Sh*t Rockers and George Thorogood and Bubbles and have shown no problems with winning over large audiences. Among the highlights of the group’s career have been performing in 2015 on “The Grand Ole Opry” and playing in 2023 at Liverpool’s Cavern Club.
The Boxmasters will be performing at 39 Main Street in Plymouth on October 12 from 7:30 pm with doors opening at 6 pm.
