Harbor Homes in Nashua was able to help ensure that everyone, no matter what their lot in life may have been, could enjoy a festive Thanksgiving meal, complete with all the trimmings.
Nearly 350 people were served a turkey dinner at their facility on High Street. Along with the food, there was entertainment and a chance to relax and enjoy themselves. To go with the turkey, there was mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries, and dressing, as well as several desserts to choose from.
According to Kenneth Walter Frank Doucette, who was one of the people fed, the opportunity to enjoy good food was very much appreciated.
About 130lb of potatoes, 30 turkeys, and other assorted food items were prepared and served by volunteers, and Petter Kelleher, who is the president of Harbor Homes, remarked that it had been an amazing day for everyone involved, whether they were serving or eating the Thanksgiving feast. Banners can be hung at the door to welcome people to the meal, and can also be placed inside to help add to the festive air of the day.
Many people came out to lend a hand at the event, and these ranged from the State Governor and Mayor of Nashua all the way to average citizens who wanted to do their part to help those less fortunate. Get a Free Quote for Banners
