Veterans and shelter dogs have often both travelled a difficult road, and thanks to an upcoming activity, a program that brings them together will be able to help even more.
Operation Delta Dog will be the beneficiary of the 5k Run to Rescue fundraiser taking place in Nashua this September. The monies will support the organization’s efforts to rescue and train shelter dogs to serve as service dogs for former military members.
There are three registration categories to choose from, and the registrants will be permitted to bring one dog each to run or walk with them. Those interested can participate on their own or as part of a team.
The route will run through Mine Falls Park in Nashua. Once everyone has completed the activity, they can remain on site for the awards presentation and light refreshments.
Runs and walks can be highly effective at raising both funds and awareness, and a banner printing company will be pleased to supply materials that attract public notice. They can provide custom materials for the start/finish lines and staging area, and Yard Signs to be posted along the route.
Run to Rescue will be helping to give veterans and shelter dogs a chance to support one another on Sunday, September 20. Registration will begin at 7:45 am, and the fundraiser will begin at 9:00 am. It will take place rain or shine.
