The United Way of Greater Nashua recently announced it will be organizing an activity that will provide a brief sample of what the area's homeless community experiences every night.
The United we Sleep gathering will work to raise awareness of poverty and homelessness in the local area, with a goal of finding solutions to the problem. Everyone is encouraged to participate, and it has been planned for April 17th.
Those who come out will be invited to experience just one night of what homeless people go through, and while they do, they will be discussing the problem with others who also want to help. The goal is for everyone to better understand the hardships, and there will also be a fundraising component to the event. As the more people who attend the more awareness will be raised, the organizers are hoping for a big turnout, and registration details will be released closer to its scheduled date.
Many not-for-profit fundraisers do “double duty” by serving as awareness raising activities. A printing services company can supply a full line of marketing materials, including Promotional Products that fit in well with the overall theme of an event.
United We Sleep will work to address homelessness in and around Nashua on April 17th. It will start at 5:00 pm, and its website will be updated as new information becomes available.
