Nashua downtown organizes spooky celebration

A pre-Halloween event will see families enjoy an afternoon of fun in Nashua’s downtown core, with far more treats than tricks.

Parents and kids who take part are encouraged to wear their costume, and many of the establishments in the district have signed up to take part. It will be a walkable experience that gives the community’s small businesses a chance to give back.

To help create a festive but spooky vibe, there will be a curated soundtrack playing, and everyone can enjoy the decorated storefronts and costumed staff. There will be candy, Promotional Products, and other treats to collect, along with a scarecrow contest and best dressed pet parade.

No tickets or passes are required for the event, which last year drew at least 500 families.

To help make the function a success, the planners are hoping there will be plenty of interest from the business that make up Nashua's downtown. It may be a fun way for them to introduce themselves to potential patrons, and can help them attract public attention. Window stickers, welcome signage, and other decor can be ordered for a function from a banner printing company.

Nashua’s Main Street Monster Mash will provide an extra dash to excitement to the Halloween season on Saturday, October 24. Its schedule starts at 11:00 am and continues until 1:00 pm.
