Advanced care planning gives people an opportunity to make their wishes known even if they cannot speak for themselves, and a Nashua workshop will explore advanced directives and their benefits.
The Advance Care Planning workshop, which will be hosted by the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua primary care service, will lead the participants through an exploration of advanced directives. They will learn how and when they can be used, and discuss a variety of common misconceptions about them.
The seminar is being offered to the public free of charge, and it will include an opportunity for the attendees to complete their own directives. The facilitator, who is well versed in these documents, will be able to provide advice and assistance to anyone who needs it.
The Advanced Care Planning session has been planned to run for two hours, and it will be taking place in Nashua at 2300 Southwood Drive starting at 5:00 pm. It is open to all ages, and anyone who feels it could benefit them is welcome. A printer from the local area will be able to provide Brochures and other learning materials for distribution during a workshop like this.
