Nashua residents who are interested in finding out more about advance care directives and how they can help to clarify a person’s wishes may wish to make plans to attend a workshop that will soon be taking place.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock has organized an event that will explore advanced care directives and shed light on what they can and cannot do. There will be details shared about how they can be written to ensure that a person’s wishes will be respected should they not be in a position where they can make them known.
The free event, which will be facilitated by someone with experience in the field, will include a discussion of the benefits of having these documents in place. Attendees will learn how they can help to bring someone peace of mind, and also how it can help to prevent family conflict in an emergency situation.
At the conclusion of the presentation, there will be time for questions, and the participants will be able to completely their own advanced directive.
