As another gardening season kicks off, a Nashua event will be giving home horticulturalists an easy way to hit the ground running when it comes to getting their flower and vegetable beds started.
The Nashua Garden Club is holding annual plant sale this weekend, and it will be open to the public for four hours. Those who are interested will find it set up on the grounds of the Nashua Historical Society, and those shoppers who arrive early will be able to access the best selection.
The shoppers at the sale will find both perennials and annuals, which will be joined by house plants and herbs. Meanwhile, the “yard sale” area will feature a variety of garden-related items. A raffle for an assortment of baskets with a horticultural theme is on the agenda as well, and the proceeds from the pop-up market will be used by the club for a variety of community service projects.
The organizer of the day has confirmed that it will take place rain or shine and only Checks and cash will be accepted. Signage for an outdoor event like this will be available at area banner printing companies.
This year’s Nashua Garden Club Plant Sale fundraiser will begin at 8:00 am this Saturday, May 20. It will remain open until 12:00 pm at 5 Abbott Street.
