Nashua Humane Society seeks donations

One of the roles of the Humane Society for Greater Nashua is to speak out for animals in need, and the organization has put out a call to the public seeking donations for one of its fundraising activities.

The organization’s Rescues Treasures program accepts donations from community members, and these are then resold either during seasonal pop-up markets or online. The proceeds will be used for animal care, as well as for raising awareness.

Community members have been asked to mark the initiative’s Donation Day on their Calendars, as this will be a time they can drop off gently used items for resale. There are markets planned from September to December, and they will be held at Junction 71. All of the proceeds from these will be donated to the cause. It has been requested that all items be packed in Bags or Boxes that can be safely carried by one person, and anyone who needs to arrange a pick up is asked to contact the society via email.

Reselling gently used items gives a not-for-profit group a way to raise funds while also diverting items from local landfills. Poster printing companies will have a wealth of ideas for getting the word out about this type of event.

The Humane Society for Greater Nashua has scheduled its next Donation Drop Off Day for October 14th. Items can be donated at 12 Murphy Drive from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
