Potato lovers will soon have a reason to rejoice, as a fundraiser will be putting this humble food in the spotlight.
The Breakfast exchange of Nashua will once again be hosting a baked potato fundraiser, offering a fun and tasty way to support the community's older members. Tickets start at $7 if they are purchased in advance, although they can also be obtained at the door on the day of the event.
Each ticket holder will receive a hearty helping of baked potatoes, as well as salad, dessert and a drink. The diners can dress up their spuds with selections from the toppings bar, and while they enjoy their supper, they can chat and mingle with the other guests. A door prize draw will take place, and a white elephant raffle, and even split draw will round out the occasion.
While the guests are encouraged to enjoy their meal on site, they can also be packaged up to take home. A banner printing company can prepare a big banner to welcome all the dinners to this sort of fundraiser, and also supply many other printed items.
The Nashua Senior Activity Center will be welcoming all to this fundraiser on April 27. The spuds will be served from 4:15 pm until 6:30 pm.
