Nashua walkers and runners who would like to support those living with Parkinson’s disease are asked to hit the road this spring.
For one day in May, New Hampshire residents will be doing a good turn for the Parkinson’s Foundation, and the public can choose to participate in person or online. There are opportunities to sign up individually or as a team, and all support will be appreciated.
The activity will be one of many fundraisers that will be held across the country, and the Nashua instalment will take place in Greeley Park. This will be the first year the function has been held in the community, and the organizers are hoping for a great turnout. The goal is to raise at least $30,000, and these funds will be used to support both research and patient care.
In response to concerns about Covid-19,. The planners encourage people to sign up for either the online or in person version of the activity. An assortment of swag is on offer to recognize the support of the fundraisers, and these include T-Shirts sporting a graphic design prepared specially for the occasion.
