The fundraising landscape has changed for many not-for-profits, but a local group has found a way to host its annual fundraiser.
The Lil’ Iguana Craft Fair and Raffle was originally scheduled to take place in Nashua North High School, but it has gone virtual this year. Just as in the past, it will still give shoppers a way to support area crafters. It will be hosted through Facebook live stream, and the monies raised will benefit kids in a variety of ways.
Dozens of vendors featuring everything from fine art to cat treats, hair bows, jewellery, weighted blankets, and even chocolate will be on offer, and during the event, the public will be able to view the items and purchase any they like. Tickets for the raffle will also be available online, and a door prize draw will take place.
This sort of activity provides benefits for both the host organization and the local small business community alike. Shifting an in-person event to a virtual one may not always be easy, but Print shops will have a variety of ways to ensure the transition will be a success and everyone is kept notified.
