In Nashua, the Salvation Army offers a non-denominational seasonal assistance program, and families are welcome to sign up for this help.
The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Sign Ups program is now up and running for another year, and families that are in need of helping hand are encouraged to add their name to the list of those who will receive a care package. Income guidelines have been set, and these will depend upon a family’s size and financial resources.
Dates have now been set during which applications will be accepted, and the program is intended only for those who do not already have their name on the assistance list with another agency. Everyone will be asked to provide their name and place of residence, and IDs will be checked. They will also need to provide proof of income and other documentation as required.
Holiday assistance programs often depend on financial support from both a community's corporate side and the general public as well. A poster printing company can prove to be a valuable partner in spreading the word about an activity.
The Salvation Army started accepting applications for its holiday assistance program on Tuesday, October 11, and will continue until Thursday, November 17. They will be taking place at 1 Montgomery Avenue, and the organizer can be reached at 603-889-5151.
