Nashua conference planned for special needs families

Parenting a child with physical, cognitive or developmental challenges may not always be an easy road, but a Nashua workshop will explore the legal side of the equation.

The Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference, which is geared towards parents, caregivers, educators, and others who work with the disabled community, will be taking place in late March. The facilitator will discuss a variety of topics. A light breakfast, as well as snacks and lunch, are included.

Each delegate at the conference will walk away with new items in their personal toolkit, and it will explore subjects such as special education laws, the rights and responsibilities of individuals and parents, how to craft IEPs that are tailored to the specific needs of each student and also effective advocacy strategies. The fee to register is $195 per person.

Along with a wealth of information, every registrant will receive Copies of three Books that deal with the subject of family and special education law as well as promotional Pens so they can highlight their notes. The materials distributed will be specific to New Hampshire, and the conference is scheduled to run for seven and a half hours.

The 2022 Wrightslaw Conference will start at 9:00 am on March 31 at the Sky Meadow Country Club. It is now open for e-registration, welcoming anyone who feels it could be useful to them.
