Nashua asked to support school supply drive
As kids return to school, those who call Nashua home will have access to the supplies they need to achieve success, thanks to the generosity of the local community.
The Rod Hansen School Supply Pantry ensures teachers will be able to receive an assortment of classroom materials without having to spend their own money. A donation drive is in the works to help keep its shelves full, and there are various ways to get involved.
The public can lend a hand with the project by dropping off a donation of supplies at one of the collection stations set up at area businesses. The United Way of Greater Nashua office, located at 20 Broad Street, will be one of the locations accepting donations. The Staples stores in South Nashua and Amherst will have volunteers on site to accept donations as well.
School supply drives are likely to be particularly successful if they are suitably promoted beforehand. A poster printing company can provide a variety of economical options, leaving the majority of the funds raised available for the cause.
Nashua is asked to consider making a generous donation to the annual school Supply Drive, which will be running on August 2, 3, 9, and 10. More details, as well as a link to its Amazon wishlist, have been included in its web listing.
