A Nashua area charter school has planned an event that will not only serve as a fundraiser, but also showcase the talents of its students to the world.
The evening, organized by Birches Academy, will offer those who attend food, fun and a chance to find out more about the school and what its students are learning. A buffet-style meal will be served, and there will also be a coffee station set up for the occasion.
Entertainment for the function will be provided by AudioBody, a high-tech comedy group, and DJ Wild Bill will also be keeping the crowd dancing. Guests can try their luck in the even split, raffles and silent auctions, and there will be lots of time for socializing with friends old and new.
Proceeds from the night will be used to help fund the activities at Birches Academy, which is a school that meets the needs of students from grades k-8. According to its website, the state’s charter schools only receive 50 percent of the funding as its traditional public schools, and it welcomes all donations and sponsorships for events like this.
