Nashua area to receive introduction to orienteering
The Nashua area offers a wide variety of ways to enjoy the great outdoors, and one of these this weekend will include the challenge of navigating using a map and compass.
An introduction to the hobby of orienteering has been scheduled for Beaver Brook’s Maple Hill Farm, and it will take advantage of the crisp weather of late fall. Everyone is welcome to take part and get in some exercise in the run-up to Thanksgiving.
People can drop by the location during its two-and-half-hour runtime, and there will be an experienced orienteer on site to lend a hand at picking up the basics. The function has been organized by the Up North Orienteers club, and a meeting will follow in the Farm’s Spear Room. Everyone is welcome to sit in on the session and find out if joining is a good fit for them.
