Traditional poutine consists of french fries, cheese curds, and gravy and is believed to be a French-Canadian creation. Nashua lovers of this comfort food may want to make sure they don’t miss a special event that will be putting this dish front and center.
According to the planners of NH PoutineFest 2019, it will be the festival of its kind south of Canada. Chefs from across the country will be vying for the title of ‘Best Poutine of the Fest’, and the winner will be able to proudly hold their Ceinture de Championnat/Championship Belt high.
The attendees at the function can sample generous portion of the different poutines, and as the event is intended to be family friendly, there will be special activities just for the kids. There will also be food trucks offering a variety of non-poutine fare, and as much of the event space will be covered, the festivities will be held rain or shine.
This celebration of Franco American culture will be held in Anheuser-Busch Brewery, and admission starts at $35. Special awards for the winners of an event like this can be prepared by a company that designs and crafts Corporate Gifts.
NH PoutineFest has been planned for Saturday, June 22. All ages are welcome to join in the fun of the experience.
