Needle felting is a crafting technique that transforms fleecy roving wool into a special keepsake, and a workshop that will introduce these methods to the public has been planned for the Nashua area.
In honor of the arrival of spring, Averill House Vineyard has organized an evening of creativity, and while they work, the attendees will each be able to sample a flight of seasonal wines. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
This beginner-friendly workshop will teach the basics of needle felting, and everyone will go home with at least one egg they will have made by hand. The $45 ticket price includes the two hours of instruction as well as a needle fleeting kit that contains felting needles, a sponge, and both dyed and natural roving. The beverages are also covered in this fee.
At the end of the class, the attendees will be welcome to purchase additional kits so they can keep on crafting at home. Stationery printers will be able to prepare sheets that offer tips and additional patterns to include in crafting sets distributed during an event.
Averill House Vineyard is located at 1 Averill Road in Brookline, and it will be welcoming wine overs for this creative evening on April 14. The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the class will wrap up at 8:00 pm.
