Learning about animal welfare can help a child to develop their sense of compassion and kindness, and a Nashua activity will give them an opportunity to do just that.
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua has scheduled a workshop for kids and their parents or guardians that will explore how animals find their way from a shelter to a new and loving home. The session will be held in the venue’s training room, and it is free to join the fun.
The group will be learning how animals are matched with just the right family and why getting off on the right foot is important. Participants will form small groups, and play a game that will see them try to strike a match between a family and a pet. There may even be some shelter residents on hand to meet the kids, which will give them an a tangible way of seeing how a rescue can make a difference.
Before they head for home, the attendees in the activity will each receive a gift bag to thank them for taking part. Promotional Products for almost any event can be sourced from an area printer.
This introduction to local animal stewardship and why it matters will be on offer on Wednesday, July 26. It will run from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at 24 Ferry Road.
