Falling can become a serious issue for many older adults, and a Nashua program may help to prevent these accidents.
The Nashua Senior Activity Center will be offering a session of the Remembering When™ fall prevention program, which has been specifically designed with older people in mind. The organizers explain that it has an engaging nostalgic theme, and will deliver safety messages using a variety of methods.
The Facilitator of the workshop will offer actionable tips and advice that can help seniors remain in their own homes for as long as they can, which may benefit both them and the community as a whole. Along with teaching fall prevention, fire prevention will be reviewed, and this will be done using props, music and discussion. It is hosted by the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office as well as the NFPA Public Education Network.
Ensuring that a workshop like this is as engaging as it is educational will help to ensure it makes an impact. Print shops can be called on to prepare packets of additional information to give to each attendee, and these can include an assortment of Brochures, promotional Pens and other items.
This opportunity for seniors to take charge of their health and safety in their own home will be presented on September 30th. The Nashua Senior Activity Center has provided a venue for the occasion.
