Moose pays visit to Nashua

While seeing a moose may not be an uncommon experience for those living in or around Nashua, one was recently spotted in a rather unusual place.

The male moose was found wandering through Edgewood Cemetery. Ken Lemox, who is an employee at the facility, said he was surprised to see one there, and he did his best to act calmly and keep a cool head on his shoulders, as he did not want to frighten the large animal. He also remarked that it has been almost 20 years since he last spotted one there.

The police were called in to help keep both the moose and the public safe, and officials with New Hampshire Fish and Game also came out to lend a hand.

The cemetery gates were locked to keep the moose inside, as it was important for him to be kept off the road, as that could spell disaster for both the creature and motorists.

Once creature had been secured safely inside the cemetery, he was tranquilized and loaded into a trailer, and the plan was for him to be taken up to the northern portion of the state, where he could be released into a more wild area.

An animal like this can be tagged to help keep track of his movements and also the numbers of individuals of his species in an area, and a Print company can provide custom designed business Forms that can be used to record the data.
