August’s ‘Touch a Truck’ event will provide children with the unique opportunity to explore vehicles from many walks of life, including the Nashua Police Department’s ‘Command Vehicle’, which is filled with all types of gadgets and gizmos for the children to see and learn about. Poster printing, banner printing, and flyer printing may have been used to spread the word about this event to children and their parents in this community.
Not just kids, but people of all ages will have the opportunity to explore vehicles, including utility trucks, delivery vehicles, emergency vehicles, and public service trucks. Children may climb in and touch the various items inside, as well as climb over the exterior surface. They are welcome to ask questions and will have them answered by the professionals in attendance.
The event takes place in a supervised and safe environment, and there will be interactive displays that show the children how the vehicles function. There will also be fire trucks, fire rescue vehicles, and a special trolley for the children to examine. This show is presented by the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Nashua.
Around $5 in doantions from each car load of people is requested. ‘Touch a Truck’ will be happening on Saturday, August 3, starting at 10:00 am at the Nashua High School South located on Panther Drive in Nashua, New Hampshire. To learn more about this hands-on event, please visit the Touch a Truck website or call the Parks and Recreation Department.
