The 1st annual Farmers Dinner Gala is taking place this June in downtown Nashua. It is presented by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce, Great American Downtown and Celebrations Catering.
For the evening of the gala, the Court Street Theater will be transformed into an old farm. It will feature guest speakers from local farms including the Sullivan Farm, and the three charities that will benefit from the event; Marguerite's Place, the Gate City Community Gardens, Inc. and the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success. Guests of the event will be served appetizers and enjoy a variety of dishes followed by dessert; all of the items on the menu will come from local farms and will be prepared by area chefs.
Farmers Dinner is an organization, based in Nashua, which strives to raise awareness of and promotes purchasing food from local farms through a number of events that bring together farmers, chefs and diners. The organization also encourages people to do their own cooking at home.
