Bird watching is a hobby enjoyed by many people, and a Nashua area workshop will give hobbyists a chance to meet with others who share their interest and learn from experts in the field.
The Beaver Brook Association has organized a program that will teach attendees all about the area’s fine feathered friends. The time will be split between classroom instruction and hands-on time out in the field, which will give those who take part an opportunity to gain experience in the new skills they have acquired.
Instruction will be given in a broad range of areas, including binocular use, an introduction to bird habitats and behavior, and also the different species watchers might encounter in the local area. The next day, the students will head to the field where they will be able to apply what they have learned. A printing company can use comb binding to craft field guides that can be given to each participant.
The number of seats available has been set at 20, so anyone who is interested in participating has been advised to register early. The registration fee for both days has been set at $40 for BBA members and $50.00 for non-members. People can also opt to only attend one of the sessions.
The course has been scheduled for May 4 and May 6, and additional details can be obtained by visiting the NH Magazine website.
