The New Hampshire SPCA has created a workshop that will give tips to those who are considering adding a new horse or other equine member to their family, and it will be held in late March.
Guest speaker Leslie McGowen, who is a FEI Level Dressage Competitor who also volunteers as a trainer with the NHSPCA, will be sharing her expertise with those who are considering adoption during this Stratham session. She will offer tips for the evaluation and training of an adopted horse, and also how it can be transitioned to its new career.
Along with the remarks from McGowen, the SPCA Equine Program manager Carrie Fyfe will be reviewing the society’s adoption process and also how it can be a great way to find a new farm resident. There will be time for the audience to ask questions, and both refreshments and goodie Bags that will be filled with a variety of Promotional Products and other swag will also be distributed to the group.
Registration for the “Horses in Transition: Evaluation, Adoption & Training for Success” workshop is now open to the public, and the fee to sign up is $15. It will be on offer on March 26, and the venue for the event will be located at 104 Portsmouth Avenue
