Stratham offers spaces in farmer market workshop

A farmers’ market provides small scale growers, crafters, artisans and makers with a venue where they can showcase their products to the public, and a Stratham area online workshop will provide tips for making the most of this opportunity.

Early November will see local agricultural operations and other small businesses learn more about the benefits of farmers markets. The description for the activity explained that it may be helpful to those who are considering applying to be part of a pop up market, but need more information.

It may also be useful to anyone who may have set up shop in one of these events in the past, but found it didn’t work well for them. Everything from the application process to following applicable bylaws and labelling, Packaging, product selection and staffing is on the syllabus. The activity will be on offer online, and a PDF version will be distributed to the registrants.

One of the resources that will be at the disposal of those who take part in local market is the services of local Print shops. They can supply everything from graphic design work to unique options for Packaging items for sale.

This introduction to the art and science of making the most of a farmers’ market will be offered on November 3rd. It will begin at 10:00 am, and tickets may be reserved through the Seacoast Eat Local website.

The class fee is $15.00, and has a duration of two hours.
