An event that will help Stratham youngsters attend a nature-based early learning school may be a boon to local gardeners, and the whole community is welcome to take advantage of the opportunity.
Acorn School has partnered with Barker’s Farm to host a flower and plant sale, and it will be taking place just in time for Mother’s Day. As well as the plants, there will be activities for the kids, food and raffle draws, and the proceeds from the occasion will be used to fund a local scholarship program.
The items available for purchase on site include house plants as well as flowers and vegetable starts, and hanging baskets and other planters will also be in the mix. Perennials were grown in the local area will be available, and garden decor may be on offer. There will be make-and-take activities for the kids, and the flower bouquets will provide a way to show mom lots of love.
As this function is being hosted as a fundraiser, anyone who would like to donate extra perennials or other plants are welcome to do so. A printer will be able to craft personalized Promotional Products to give to each person who makes a contribution to a special event.
This kick off to the spring gardening season will be held in Stratham on May 7. It will take place at 216 Portsmouth Avenue.
