A Stratham fundraiser will show people fighting cancer that the community stands behind them.
Exeter Hospital has announced the return of Kites at the Beach Cancer Survivors’ Day Celebrations. The proceeds from the festivities will benefit The Beyond the Rainbow Fund, which ensures families with a member living with cancer have those things they cannot do without, such as childcare and transportation.
The festivities will welcome the public in Stratham HIll Park, and kites may be purchased for $10. Local entertainers will be taking center stage, including live musicians, and food trucks will be keeping the crowd well fed. Kites will be available at businesses throughout the area, and a poster printing company will be able to assist in making sure as many know about an event like this as possible.
As a further sign of support to cancer patients and their families, and a salute to the survivors, anyone who buys a kite is welcome to submit a video, photo, and story of why they have chosen to support the cause. Monetary donations to the Beyond the Rainbow Fund are also welcome
The Cancer Survivors Day will be held in Stratham Hill Park on Sunday, June 13. Covid prevention measures will be in place, and the activities will begin at 12:00 pm and run until 3:00 pm.
