Spring is right around the corner, and an event will soon give Stratham green thumbs a chance to get a jump start on the growing season.
Home horticulturalists who would like to hit the ground running may find the “Let’s Talk Gardening” workshop, with an admission fee of $5, to be just the ticket. Social distancing and other protocols will be followed, and masks are required.
Those who sign up for the function will be able to ask any questions they might have, and they are welcome to bring photos as well. There will be a discussion about plant selection and care, as well as composting and other garden tips, and it can double up as an opportunity for the public to meet other gardeners. Anyone interested will be able to choose from a morning or afternoon session, and they will both take place on the same day.
By hosting this sort of activity, a garden centre or nursery can introduce itself to potential future customers. Offering the attendees discount coupons or small Promotional Products is one way to thank them for their patronage.
Churchill’s Garden Center, which can be found at 12 Hampton Road in Exeter, will be welcoming both newbie and experienced gardeners to this workshop this Saturday, February 27. Sessions begin at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, and both are scheduled to run for one hour.
