Stratham area walk to visit winter woods

Even in deep winter, the words around Stratham are still full of life, and an organized outing will explore one of these areas in person.

A winter forage has been planned by the Misty Meadows Herbal Center, and the outing will last for about three hours. Advance registration is mandatory, and the system for this will close on the day before the scheduled date for the activity.

The group will enjoy a January hike through the woods, and as they go, they will be on the lookout for plants, fungi, and other materials that can be used as food or for health. As it can be difficult to correctly identify plants in their winter dress, ID tips will be shared. The use of each will be discussed, and everyone is welcome to pack a bagged lunch, bundle up, and enjoy the excursion. Tuition for the activity is $21.50.

Winter workshops like this offer a way to beat the seasonal doldrums. Businesses and organizations alike can count on a printing services company to supply them with Corporate Gifts to offer as swag during such activities.

The Misty Meadows Herbal Center, which is situated at 183 Wednesday Hill Road in Lee, will be heading out for this cold weather walk at 11:00 am on January 16. The final date to sign up is January 15.
