Shade gardening can be a challenge for even the most seasoned green thumb, but a Stratham area workshop will show how it is possible to have a beautiful garden in low light conditions.
Bedrock Gardens offers the public a variety of ways to get their feet wet when it comes to home horticulture, and its “Planting a Shade Garden” class will be held in early July. Tickets are $20 each with a discount available for garden members.
The participants will find out how they can use shade to their advantage, resulting in a green space that is calm and relaxing. In many cases, these gardens require little maintenance and will keep looking great year after year. Everyone will learn which plants thrive in lower light levels, and tips for their installation and care will be shared. The function is intended for older teens and adults.
Gardening is a hobby that can be enjoyed throughout a person’s life. Workshops provide the chance to learn some new techniques, and handouts and other learning materials for an activity can be crafted by local Print shops.
This event coming to the aid of those who want to take on the challenge of shade gardening will be on offer on Saturday, July 6. It will begin at 10:00 am at 19 High Road in Lee.
