The Great Bay 5K (GB5K) is set to return for its 26th edition this October.
This event will offer an in-person and virtual race option. It will also be the final installment in the Seacoast Road Race Series. Profits from the race will benefit the Great Bay Stewards, a non-profit dedicated to protecting and preserving the Great Bay estuary through conservation, education, and research.
The in-person 5K race, which begins at 9 am, will follow a scenic, mostly downhill course along the coasts of Great Bay. Throughout the race there participants can choose to run, walk, or race in a wheelchair. Wheelchair racers will begin at 8:45 am. Electric wheelchairs are not permitted.
Participants of the in-person and virtual races will receive a bib and long-sleeve shirt with tear-off strips that can be redeemed for free beer, cider, and oysters at select establishments. To guarantee a race hat or shirt, participants must sign up by October 1st. Late registrants may obtain a shirt if extras are available on event day.
The cost for the in-person event is currently $40 and the virtual race is $35. For more information and to register individuals can visit the event listing.
Banner printing can be used to highlight different areas along courses such as this one.
The in-person event is scheduled for October 26th at Rt. 33 Stratham, New Hampshire. The virtual run will take place from October 1st through 26th.
