Kids 'Deck the Howls' in New Hampshire

The New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) invites children aged 7 to 12 to participate in a holiday event this December.

This event is titled "Deck the Howls." It promises a unique blend of festive fun and compassionate activities designed to engage young animal lovers while offering parents a brief respite.

Participants are encouraged to wear their coziest pajamas as they embark on a candlelit tour to share bedtime stories with the shelter's animals. The evening will also include crafting holiday ornaments and enjoying treats.

Led by NHSPCA staff, the event will offer memorable activities for kids and support the organization’s mission of promoting humane education and animal care.

The event has a capacity of 12 children and will cost $35 for each child to attend. Registrations can be done through the New Hampshire (SPCA) listing. If the event is canceled due to adverse weather conditions, participants will receive a credit that can be applied to future programs.

Organizers recommend parents drop off their children or limit accompanying adults to one for each family. This will ensure adequate space and minimize stress for the animals. Adults who stay may be requested to remain in the reception area.

Poster printing can be used to advertise events such as this one.

The date and time of the event will be Wednesday, December 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm at the New Hampshire SPCA, Humane Education Classroom, 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, New Hampshire.
