Winston-Salem venue schedules introduction to soapmaking
A Winston-Salem workshop will take what was once a common practice in households and bring it into the 21st century.
Lizzie All-Natural Products has scheduled a soapmaking class for early October, and everyone will be able to craft their own bars to take home. The two-hour session is geared towards beginners, and the ingredients used will be 100% natural.
Attendees will be walked through the process of preparing soap using the materials provided, and they can choose which botanicals and scents they wish to incorporate. Full instruction will be provided, and along with their six bars, everyone can decorate a soap box to store their creations. Complimentary beverages, including herbal tea, coffee, and champagne, will be served, and a raffle draw will wrap up the experience. Everyone will be able to take their finished project home with them when they leave.
An introductory workshop often provides a fun opportunity for those new to a hobby to get their hands dirty. Stationery printers can provide copies of handouts, as well as safety waivers, letterheads, and other documents.
