Winston-Salem is home to some avid birders, and these fans of the feathered set will soon be gathering at a local venue for an evening of connection.
River Birch Lodge will be welcoming the May installment of the Birds and Beers mixer program run by the Forsyth Audubon Society. Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun, and RSVPs have been requested.
Participants will be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy beer or other beverages, and a menu of food options will also be available. They can share their own birding tips, as well as stories about any lifers they have spotted, and the discussion may also include such topics as conservation.
The organizers have reserved a group of tables for the attendees. The mixer is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, any reserved tables that remain unoccupied will be released back to the venue for its other patrons.
Social activities give members of an organization a chance to get to know one another in a relaxed setting. They may choose to bring Business Cards so it will be quick and easy to share their contact details.
The Forsyth Audubon Society will be hosting its May Birds and Beers session on Tuesday, May 5. RSVPs can be submitted through its website, and River Birch Lodge is located at 3324 Robinhood Road in Winston-Salem.
