Winston-Salem schedules Veterans Day events
The Winston-Salem area will soon be giving its veterans a salute, and it will include a moment of silence in honor of the fallen.
The 2nd annual Kernersville Veterans Parade has been organized by its Downtown Council. The marchers, floats and other entries will start in Downtown on Main Street and follow Beard Street, and everyone is encouraged to join this show of patriotism.
The procession will wind its way along, and the route it follows will be lined with spectators, cheering and waving flags. Along with the marchers and floats, military bands and vehicles will be included. All veterans and those currently in service are welcome.
After the parade has drawn to a close, there will be a special ceremony hosted at Kernersville Farmers’ Market. Several speakers will take to the podium, and a presentation of colors, singing of the National Anthem, and recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance will take place. Songs that represent each military branch will be sung.
Communities may organize events in honor of a special occasion, and these activities may benefit from the marketing materials prepared by a printing services company. These can range from banners to brochures, and a printer may also be able to perform a range of graphic design work.
This salute to Winston-Salem veterans is scheduled for Sunday, November 10. The city’s website can be consulted for additional information.
