Winston-Salem Rose Society hosts propagation class
The Winston-Salem Rose Society has set the date for an activity that will provide tips and advice for rose propagation, and the general public is encouraged to attend.
The Society will be hosting a meeting in mid-June, and the guest presenters for the evening will be Jimmy Spears and James Richardson. The discussion will begin half an hour after the meeting’s start time so everyone can arrive, find their seat, and chat with the other attendees.
The presentation will explore methods for growing more roses in the home garden, and the focus will be on the use of cuttings, which produces “clones” of the parent plant. This is the most common method used, but the facilitators will review other aspects of rose care as well. Refreshments will be served, and the learning will be hands on.
Home horticulturalists are often eager to learn new skills and techniques. A brochure printing company can be tasked with preparing copies of handouts for an activity like this, and can also offer graphic design services if required.
The Winston-Salem Rose Society will be giving local gardeners an opportunity to take their cultivation skills to the next level on Sunday, June 24. It will begin at 6:00 pm at the Home and Garden Building at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. The schedule runs for two hours.
