Observing 2019 Law Enforcement Appreciation Day in Winston-Salem, Virtual Run Events powered by Moon Joggers, will host a virtual 5K and 10K race.
The sponsoring organization will donate 15% of proceeds from every registration to Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). The mission of C.O.P.S. is to rebuild the lives of survivors and co-workers who have experienced death in the line of duty. Partnering with law enforcement and community residents, organizers and volunteers are bringing the event to this area for the third year in a row.
Participants in a virtual race can choose the location for the run or walk, such as trails, treadmills, gyms or outdoor venues. This format enables many people to join in and help support the mission of the event. Medals will be mailed to entrants upon notification of completion of the virtual race.
Flyer printing is a great way to publicize this unique type of activity. The Flyers can be mailed, distributed, or placed in high-traffic areas to inform a large mass of people of the upcoming event.
The Winston-Salem law enforcement appreciation virtual race will take place February 24 at 1:00 pm and will conclude on February 28 at 3:00 p.m. Entry prices start at $20. Interested persons can check out the event website for race rules and details, as well as register online.
