New pizza restaurant to open in downtown Winston-Salem
What was once the location of TwinCity Slice in downtown Winston-Salem will become home to a new pizzeria by two Italian American brothers. Brother’s Pizzeria will be owned by Mike and Anthony Scotto Di Frega who plan to bring their own style of pizza to the restaurant.
Anthony was born in Italy and Mike was born in New Jersey, but Anthony said they are both very much Italian. Their background includes their family owning a pizzeria in New Jersey, and they have worked at such restaurants their entire lives. They are both thrilled to be able to work together in their own restaurant.
New Jersey style pizza, which is like that served in New York, will be offered at the pizzeria. There will be ready-to-eat slices and whole pizzas that will be cooked to order. Also on the menu will be appetizers, salads, subs, and calzone as well as items special to the eatery. It will be opened for lunch and dinner and late at night on weekends.
Printing services are often used to promote such new restaurants and their specialties of the house to attract customers once they are open.
The brothers are working on getting permits so that the space can be renovated and are hoping to get a license so they can sell beer. They plan to open either later this month or next month.
