Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack is now open in Winston-Salem on W. First Street.
Jim Noble, chef-restaurateur, and his company Noble Food and Pursuits created the concept in 2019 with the goal of offering a high-quality chicken sandwich in a fast-casual and simple atmosphere. The first Bossy Beulah’s is in Charlotte next to Noble Smoke.
There are floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the restaurant with garage-style doors to be added in the future. The kitchen is open plan with a long counter in front of it and the tables are made of a light wood. About 50 people can sit in the dining room, with picnic tables also available on the patio.
The menu is small, offering three types of chicken sandwiches as well as Bossy Bites, which are pieces of whole chicken breast and wings. Joyce Farms, based in Winston-Salem, raises chickens with no pesticides, antibiotics, or hormones, and supplies the chicken, each piece of which is cut and breaded by hand. Noble’s Copain Gatherings bakery supplies the buns, and the pickles and sauces are made in house.
Sides include coleslaw, hand-cut French fries, and a salad. Beverages offered include soda and other non-alcoholic drinks. Local Print shops can be hired to help create printed Menus for such restaurants.
Ordering and pickup can be arranged at the counter. Curbside pickup is also available and ordering online will be offered in the near future.
