German manufacturer to build new hub in Winston-Salem

Ziehl-Abegg – a manufacturer of generators, ventilation systems, and other equipment – is building a new headquarters in Winston-Salem.

The German company will be investing over $100m into the new facility and will create at least 300 new jobs. Ziehl-Abegg has 16 production plants around the world, at which 5,000 people work. It has an existing facility in Guilford County that employs 200 people, and these will move to the new facility in Winston-Salem once it is completed.

When new headquarters like this are built, Stationery printers often play a significant role as new Letterheads, Business Cards, and other corporate materials need to be printed.

Ziehl-Abegg will continue its partnership with two apprenticeship programs in the area, which are Guilford Apprenticeship Partners and the Learn and Earn Apprenticeship Program at Forsyth Technical Community College. It will also recruit employees from these programs in filling the jobs in the new facility.

This expansion and new headquarters were made possible with assistance from Greater Winston-Salem Inc. Senior Vice President of Economic Development, Laura Lee, who said the new facility will continue the city’s legacy of manufacturing, create an economic hub in the city, and enable to the city as a whole to grow.

Ziehl-Abegg plans to complete the move into the new Union Cross Industrial Center headquarters on Millennium Drive by 2024.
