Mayberry’s Ice Cream Restaurants now has a new location in Winston-Salem on W. Fourth Street in what was once the home of Tropical Smoothie.
The menu at this shop is smaller than the regular menu available at its larger stores in High Point and Winston-Salem, but includes a range of sandwiches, soups, salads, and ice cream treats. Lunch and dinner are served daily and he dining room is opened to serve customers.
Among the dozen sandwich choices are the Mayberry club, barbeque pork, chicken salad, and grilled pimento cheese. There are a half-dozen salads that include a chef’s salad and tomato stuffed with chicken or tuna salad. There is bean and bacon soup and chili served every day, as well as two hot dog and five burger selections. Side dishes include onion rings, hot chips, coleslaw, and potato salad.
The ice cream specialties include banana splits, malts, milkshakes, and sundaes. Ice cream is available in pints and quarts or by the scoop in a dish or cone. There are 20 flavors from which to choose. Other desserts feature hot apple pie, a fudge brownie, strawberry pound cake, and a hot fudge cake.
