Dog park to open in Winston-Salem

The first dog park and bar will be opening in Winston-Salem.

Tucker’s Tap Yard will be on North Liberty Street and designed for dogs and their owners. Owners will be able to unleash their dogs so they can run and play while they enjoy wine, beer on tap, or a cocktail with a canine theme.

The beloved beagle, Tucker of the owners of Tucker’s Tap Yard, Kim and Cole Parsons, inspired them to open the dog park. They rescued Tucker in April 2020 and discovered he had a great deal of energy and was very social. They were always looking for places that were friendly to dogs in their travels through the southeastern United States.

Tucker’s Tap Yard is on an acre of land in downtown Winston-Salem in the Industry Hill neighborhood and is within walking distance of many breweries and residences. Those who wish to use the park need to pay a membership fee, show spay and neutering records, confirmation of canine vaccinations, and attest that their dog is socialized.

There is 10,00 square feet of indoor-outdoor space through which dogs can run with trained staff on hand to monitor the dogs. There is also specialized turf and play equipment for puppies, a self-wash station, and other services. More details about such services and amenities are often outlined with flyer printing.

Tucker’s Tap Yard is expected to open this summer.
